My family and I have been enjoying the Nevada County Gold Country since the  summer of 1999. We love spending time at the South Fork of the Yuba River and the Bear River, where many people go to pan for gold, swim, or just enjoy the beautiful scenery. We also enjoy boating and kayaking on Scotts Flat Lake and on Rollins Lake. We visit various parks, and have hiked many of the trails strewn with gorgeous wildflowers in the spring and summer.
The seasons in Nevada County are very distinct and beautiful. There are various activities to enjoy during every season here whether your out in the wilderness or downtown for an event.
 Nevada County is known for its culture. Art and Music are both abundant all year. The county boasts many award winning wineries, several golf courses, theatre groups, some very fine restaurants, and many unique boutiques. The beautiful Nevada County  Fairgrounds is host to a multitude of art and music events, the Draft Horse Classic, and many truly enjoyable fund raising events.
People from all over the country come here just to visit friends or family and end up wanting to make this their home. Wherever your from, you won't be missing anything here in Nevada County and may find more to your liking than you ever imagined.
